Zusatzinvestitionen. Moderne Analysetools wie
bspw. Tableau oder Power BI, ergänzt um KI-
Funktionen, beschleunigen datenbasierte
Entscheidungsprozesse.
Der Weiterentwicklung von Microsofts Copilot-
Plattform, bspw. durch das KI-gestützte
Datenanalysetool „Analyst“, das eigenständig
Datenquellen verknüpfen, Muster erkennen und
proaktiv Optimierungsvorschläge generieren kann,
werden schnell weitere innovative Werkzeuge
folgen.
Auch im Bereich Agentic AI sind die Entwicklungen
vielversprechend. Erste produktive
Anwendungen, bei denen KI-Agenten eigenständig
Aufgaben ausführen und Prozesse optimieren,
dürften sich meines Ermessens zunächst
innerhalb der großen Ökosysteme von Anbietern
wie Microsoft und Google flächendeckend
durchsetzen.
Insbesondere in größeren mittelständische
Unternehmen können komplexere individuelle
Deep-Learning oder Machine-Learning-gestützte
Modelle bspw. Prognosemodelle,
Qualitätsfrühwarnsysteme oder die Optimierung
von Supply-Chain-Prozessen, Produktions- oder
Innovationsprozessen den Unterschied machen
und von großer strategischer Bedeutung sein. Das
Anwendungsspektrum ist hierbei groß.
Der Erfolg solcher Initiativen hängt dabei
maßgeblich von der Verfügbarkeit und Qualität
der zugrunde liegenden Daten ab.
Herausforderungen beim KI-Einsatz
Trotz der großen Potenziale ist der Einsatz von KI
im Unternehmensumfeld mit spezifischen
Herausforderungen verbunden. Datenschutz und
regulatorische Anforderungen wie die DSGVO
müssen strikt eingehalten werden; lokale KI-
Lösungen oder europäische Anbieter können hier
klare Vorteile bieten. Aufgabe des Interim CFO
kann es hier sein, in Kooperation mit den
Fachabteilungen bestehenden Konflikte
aufzulösen, Lösungen aufzuzeigen und die
Umsetzung zu beschleunigen.
An often underestimated potential lies in
activating existing AI functionalities within
established systems such as DATEV, SAP, or
Microsoft Dynamics—without requiring costly
additional investments.
Modern analytics tools like Tableau or Power BI,
enhanced with AI capabilities, accelerate data-
driven decision-making processes.
The further development of Microsoft’s Copilot
platform—e.g. by the AI-powered analytics tool
“Analyst,” which can autonomously link data
sources, detect patterns, and proactively
generate optimization suggestions—is likely to be
followed by a wave of similarly innovative
solutions.
Promising developments are also emerging in the
field of Agentic AI. In my view, the first productive
applications—where AI agents independently
execute tasks and optimize processes—are likely
to gain widespread adoption initially within the
large ecosystems of providers such as Microsoft
and Google.
Especially in larger mid-sized companies more
complex, customized deep learning or machine
learning-based models—such as forecasting
systems, early warning systems for quality issues,
or the optimization of supply chain, production,
or innovation processes—can be game changers
and hold significant strategic importance.
The range of possible applications is broad.
The success of such initiatives largely depends on
the availability and quality of the underlying data.
Challenges in the Use of AI
Despite its great potential, the use of AI in
corporate environments comes with specific
challenges. Data protection and regulatory
requirements—such as the GDPR—must be strictly
observed; local AI solutions or European
providers can offer clear advantages in this
regard. It may fall to the interim CFO to work
closely with functional departments to resolve
existing conflicts, identify viable solutions, and
accelerate implementation.

Der Interim CFO, der in der Regel eine zentrale
Schnittstellen- und Steuerungsfunktion innehat,
trägt hierbei die Gesamtverantwortung für die
Einhaltung regulatorischer Standards, die
Qualitätssicherung von Analysen sowie die
erfolgreiche Einführung und Akzeptanz neuer KI-

Neben Fachwissen, Führungsstärke und

Interim CFO’s müssen das hohe Tempo

Besonders wichtig: die Fähigkeit, Technologie
pragmatisch und mit Blick auf einen messbaren
ROI in die Unternehmenspraxis zu integrieren. KI-
Projekte sind dabei kein Selbstzweck – sie müssen
konkrete, nachvollziehbare Mehrwerte schaffen.
